What is green tea, what’s inside?
The EN Green Tea Essence is made from an exquisite variety of green tea leaves called “benefuuki”.
It is harvested on the island of Yakushima. It’s a magical place where no cars are allowed there to preserve the purity of nature. This island is renown as the home to the oldest UNESCO world heritage tree “Jomon Sugi” estimated to be 7000 years old.
Green tea is rich in methylated catechin which is an antioxidant. Antioxidants are known to protect your cells from damage and will contribute to reducing irritations on your skin and as a result benefit your skin texture. Research has found that the polyphenols inside of green tea will contribute to preventing acne because it reduces the skin’s secretion of sebum.
Benefits for the skin
Do you worry about the brightness or radiance of your skin?
Do you have concerns about skin irritation?
Green tea is will help promote a clearer and brighter complexion. This is because of the tannins present in tea leaves that tone the skin. The antioxidants inside will fight against skin ageing by protecting cells from free radicals produced through exposure to things such as smoke and alcohol. Green tea is a natural skin softener, so it’s perfect for use on sensitive skin.
How do I use the Green Tea Essence?
The easiest way to use the essences is to mix it into your existing skin care routine. There’s no strict doctrine on how to use the product, just keep in mind that more is not always better. There’s only so much that your skin can absorb or have benefits from. Being attentive to how your skin is feeling that day will be important to finding the right balance.
① As a face serum:
after washing your face, tap a few drops of product into the palm of your hand and spread evenly over your face. This would be the highest concentration of the product impacting your skin.
② As an eye treatment:
after washing your face, pour one to two drop(s) of product onto the tip of your finger. Apply to the area around your eyes with light patting or tapping of the fingertips from the inner corners to the outer corners of the eye. This will also stimulate blood circulation and help improve the color around your eyes.
③ Blend with a cream:
take your regular amount of cream that you use (or moisturizer) in the palm of your hand and tap a few drops of product into it. Mix together with your hands, and then apply evenly over your face. When mixing with creams and lotions, we have a tip to open the bottle of the essence BEFORE putting that cream or lotion into your palm. It makes it much easier!
④ As a mask:
after washing your face, and ideally exfoliating it, take a sufficient amount of moisturizing gel and add four to six drops of essence product to it. You can also add other combinations of essences depending on your skin's needs. Leave on for about 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly for a brighter complexion.
⑤ With lotion:
After washing your face, pour a few drops of lotion and tap a few drops of essence onto a piece of cotton or in the palm of your hand. Gently spread over the entire face. Try our skin diagnosis and find a combination of products you can combine to get the perfect blend for you. Again remember, more is not always better as there is only so much that your skin can absorb and benefit from.
